On episode 6 of the Funnely Enough show, I speak to Facebook Queen, Mari Smith.
Mari is a Social Media Thought Leader and one of the world’s foremost experts on Facebook marketing. She is author of The New Relationship Marketing and coauthor of Facebook Marketing: An Hour A Day, both published by Wiley. She regularly appears in media locally and nationally in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Inc., Forbes, Fortune, and Success Magazine.
And being a fellow Scot, she has an incredible accent!
I speak to Mari about:
- You were born in Canada, but lived in Scotland for 20 years… Did you move away from Scotland as a tactical move? Or something else?
- I saw on your Instagram, you carried a card around that said ‘if you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you do’, so I want to ask you that? Does the fear of failure hold you back?
- How do you run a personal brand business, whilst having staff? How do you handle people wanting you but getting your team? Can you turn that potential negative into a positive?

Last weeks riddle answer: “Sell them!”
Riddle: A spirited jig it dances bright, Banishing all but darkest night. Fire can’t kill it but water can. Share it, it won’t get less unless wind will ruin it.
